Sarah E. Sanders, M.Ed., BCBA, LBA

Chief Operations Officer

Sarah Sanders has been working in the field of behavior analysis since 2006, and has been a Board Certified Behavior Analyst since 2008. With a background in Special Education, she understands the unique ways that children and teens approach learning, and that our teaching methods must adapt to fit the child, not the other way around.

Sarah and her husband were Host Home parents for teens and young adults with disabilities for over 15 years, and she is passionate about working with this age group. Sarah’s 16 years of practice have centered around providing excellent parent training and family-based intervention that actually work in real homes (including hers), and include the whole family.As a seasoned leader and Executive, Sarah is a fervent defender of healthy, positive team culture, and knows from experience that team members who are well taken care of will take the best care of the children and families we serve. Above all, Sarah is dedicated to quality, validity, and fidelity in treatment delivery, even when it’s not convenient or comes at a higher cost, because children and families deserve nothing less! Sarah and her husband are raising their 3 children (and one dog that thinks it’s a child) in Santa Clara, Utah and her favorite hobby is taking them camping in the beautiful areas we are so lucky to call home.

Michelle Nadalsky, BCBA, LBA, SSW

Chief Clinical Officer

Michelle Nadalsky has been working in the field of ABA since 2007. She received her Bachelors in Psychology from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, and Masters in Human Behavior from National University. Michelle became a BCaBA in 2011 and then received her BCBA in 2014.

She has extensive experience working with children and adolescents across home, school, group home, and natural community settings. Her favorite part of working with children and families is getting to connect with each child and seeing them enjoy their sessions and learning. She loves seeing important new skills develop, behaviors adjust and seeing the positive impact of those changes throughout the entire family unit.Michelle has an Autistic daughter and has first-hand experience with the barriers parents and siblings encounter on a daily basis. She understands that building a relationship with the parents where open communication and trust are established is pivotal to the growth of each child. True progress requires collaboration between the professional and the parent because parents know their own children better than any professional ever could. Michelle is an established leader and Clinician who is passionate about mentoring new professionals and helping others grow their behavior-analytic repertoire. She finds it extremely important that those working with her learn how to develop strong, respectful relationships with the families they work with, and that every child receives a completely individualized service tailored to them and their family’s personal needs. When not working with your children, Michelle loves to go camping and adventure outside with her husband and 3 children. They love traveling, especially to different State and National Parks.

Dr. Brett Shumway, PHD

Director of Counseling & Psychology Services

Dr. Shumway is a Licensed Psychologist and Southern Utah local. He started working with youth programs in 2002 and has been providing professional counseling since 2011. He earned a Master’s in Counseling and Guidance and a PhD in Counseling Psychology, both at New Mexico State University.

He further completed specialized predoctoral and postdoctoral training at the University of Utah’s Neuropsychiatric Institute. Dr. Shumway has worked in public schools, private schools, in-patient, outpatient, residential care, autism-focused treatment, and primary care settings. He specializes in psychological evaluations of children and youth, especially concerning autism and other forms of neurodiversity. He also specializes in counseling and therapy with neurodiverse youth, young adults, and their families.

Luca is a Southern Utah local who graduated from the University of Utah in 2023 with dual bachelor’s degrees in Communications and Psychology. Currently serving as the Regional Director of Operations, Luca excels in leveraging clear and effective communication

to ensure the smooth running of the company’s centers, systems and other operational facets, prioritizing the well-being of both families and staff. Her leadership and problem-solving skills have allowed her to develop systems that streamline processes from the inside out, all while ensuring that quality care remains central to everything Possibilities does and represents.Outside of her professional responsibilities, Luca is an avid outdoor enthusiast. She enjoys hiking, camping, climbing, and skiing with her loved ones across the state of Utah. Additionally, Luca has a deep passion for music and enjoys playing and learning new instruments, attending concerts, and discovering new music groups in the area.

Lynette Wyckoff, BCBA

Director of Program Development/Behavior Analyst

Lynette has always valued being well-rounded and global in her approach to just about anything in life. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in Marine Biology and Counseling Psychology from Alaska Pacific University in 2011.

While her educational foundation was set in biological sciences, her desire was to marry the sciences into sociology and human behavior. In 2017, she completed her master’s degree at Florida Institute of Technology; Applied Behavior Analysis is a balanced combination of using scientific methodologies and therapeutic methods to tackle the complexities of human interactions. She is happy to have found a field that has the same values as herself and really works to make everyone’s life a little better.Lynette has extensive experience in assessing and developing treatment plans for children of all ages and utilizes all available tools to ensure that each child has the individualized plan needed for them to be successful and independent. In addition to developing meaningful treatment plans, she also has substantial experience in developing curriculum-based social programs. She has worked with children and young adults in their homes, centers, schools, communities, and within social groups. Lynette is so happy to have found Possibilities to really bring these skills to light and provide compassionate care to all of our learners!

Melissa Hummel is the HR Director at Possibilities with nearly six years of experience in diverse areas of Human Resources. Specializing in Onboarding, Training and Development, Payroll, Employee Relations, and completing various HR projects that drive strategic initiatives,

she has a proven track record of enhancing organizational effectiveness and employee satisfaction. Her expertise also extends to Recruiting, Benefits, Workers Compensation, and Leave of Absence Management. Melissa holds a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management from Lewis University, complemented by a minor in Business Administration. Additionally, she is certified as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR), reflecting a commitment to ongoing professional development and best practices in the field. With a passion for fostering a positive workplace culture and supporting employee growth, Melissa is dedicated to aligning HR strategies with organizational goals. Melissa has specifically worked in the ABA setting for the last five years and has enjoyed hearing all of the success stories and the meaningful impact to the children and families. Melissa and her husband have their own mini zoo (2 dogs, 4 cats, and 12 reptiles)! In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, and watching various TV shows!

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Marriage and Family Studies with an emphasis in Early Childhood Development and Family Education, a Master’s degree in Education with a focus in School Counseling, and a postgraduate certificate in Trauma Research and Studies. 

This advanced training has equipped her with a deep understanding of the challenges children face and the critical importance of creating safe, nurturing environments for them to thrive.

Throughout her career, Michelle has been passionate about removing barriers to success for children and families. Her work is rooted in the belief that strong, trusting relationships are at the heart of meaningful support. She finds joy in connecting with learners and families and is committed to empowering each child to reach their full potential.

Outside of her professional life, Michelle is the proud mother of four grown children, who are the loves of her life. She enjoys traveling, cooking, tackling DIY projects, and spending quality time with her family and friends.

Brie obtained her bachelor’s degree in Strategic Communications from the University of Utah in 2023, complimented by minors in Design, Ceramics, and Psychology. With a year and a half of experience as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), Brie expertly provides direct suppor to individuals and families.
Her experience as an RBT provides her with valuable insight as she closely analyzes notes and procedures, to ensure that families and learners are receiving the highest quality of care possible. Currently based in Salt Lake City, Brie balances her administrative responsibilities with monthly visits to the St. George office, where she extends her expertise and in-person support. With her unique blend of professionalism, empathy, and dedication, Brie is committed to providing excellent support to all of her Possibilities teammates and families. Beyond her professional pursuits, Brie finds joy in culinary exploration and hiking adventures and makes frequent trips to Oregon to connect with family.

Nathan earned a Bachelor’s degree in psychology from Southern Utah University and a Masters in clinical mental health counseling from Marquette University with an emphasis in children and adolescents, but he has had a wide variety of training experiences that has led him to be a therapist.
With five years of experience in behavior analytics (and his training in mental health), he brings a unique perspective to treatment in the autistic community.
